Jargone translates documents. It does not give advice

Jargone is an AI translation service. You upload a document; an AI model reads it and produces a plain-words version of what the document says. Jargone is not a financial adviser, not a lawyer, and not a doctor. It describes what a document says. It does not tell you what to do, and it never recommends buying, selling, signing, taking, or avoiding anything. Before you act on any document, speak to a qualified professional who can advise you about your own situation. The full terms are below.

1. Who you are contracting with

Jargone is operated by Something Labs Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202022449E), a company registered in Singapore at 278 Ocean Drive, #02-24 The Coast @ Sentosa Cove, Singapore 098450. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “Jargone” mean that company. “You” means the person using the service.

By using Jargone you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What Jargone does

Jargone is a translation service. You upload a document. An AI model reads it and produces a plain-language version of what the document says. We send that translation to you.

That is the entire service. Anything not described in this clause is not part of it.

3. What Jargone is not

Jargone does not give advice of any kind. Nothing we produce is financial advice, a personal recommendation, investment advice, insurance advice, legal advice, medical advice, tax advice, or professional advice of any other description.

Jargone does not make recommendations. We do not tell you to buy, sell, hold, keep, cancel, switch, sign, refuse, appeal, accept or reject anything.

Jargone does not evaluate. We do not rate, score, rank, grade or compare documents or the products they describe, and we do not express a view on whether anything is good value, fair, expensive, standard, safe or suitable.

Jargone does not consider your circumstances. We do not ask about and do not take account of your age, income, assets, liabilities, goals, needs, risk tolerance, tax position or anything else about you. Every translation describes the document alone.

Jargone is not a substitute for a professional. Where a decision matters, take the original document to a qualified adviser, lawyer, doctor or accountant.

We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the Securities and Exchange Commission, any state insurance department, any bar association, or any medical or professional regulator, and we do not carry on any activity for which such authorisation is required.

4. AI

Jargone is powered by AI. An AI model reads your document and writes the translation. There is no human review of an individual translation before it reaches you unless we tell you otherwise.

The model is Kimi, made by Moonshot AI Pte. Ltd., a Singapore company. It is not ours, and Moonshot may use what it receives to improve its own models. Our Privacy Policy sets out what that means for a document you upload. We may change model provider; if we do, we will name the new one in the Privacy Policy.

AI models make mistakes. A model can misread a number, miss a clause, misunderstand a term, or state something with more confidence than the underlying document supports.

The original document always governs. Where a translation differs from the document it was made from, the document is correct and the translation is wrong. Keep your original. Do not rely on a translation as a record of what a document says.

You accept this when you use the service. We tell you plainly, before you upload and again on every translation, that the output is machine-generated and may contain errors.

5. What you may and may not upload

You may upload a document that was given to you by a company, an institution or a public body: a policy, a fact sheet, a statement of terms, a notice or a letter.

You may not upload:

  • bank statements, account summaries, portfolio valuations, holdings lists or any document showing your balances or what you own
  • court filings, pleadings, or paperwork connected to live litigation or a dispute
  • immigration forms or applications
  • clinical documents including lab results, imaging reports, pathology reports and diagnostic records, as distinct from administrative paperwork
  • anything you do not have the right to upload, including documents belonging to someone else without their permission, and documents subject to an obligation of confidence you would breach by sending them to us
  • any material that is unlawful

We screen uploads and will refuse anything falling into these categories. If we refuse a document we delete it without processing it. We may refuse any document at our discretion.

You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, and that you have removed or accept the disclosure of any information belonging to a third party.

6. Where the service is available

Jargone is available to anyone who can reach this website. Prices are set in Singapore dollars; at checkout, Stripe may show the amount in your own currency. We do not restrict the service by country and we do not check where you are.

We translate the document you send us. We do not check it against the law of the place you are in. If a service like this one is restricted where you live, that is yours to check.

Nothing on our website is an offer or solicitation to any person in any jurisdiction where such an offer or solicitation is not permitted.

7. Your access

A single translation needs no account. It is delivered to the email address you give us and is reachable through a private link. Keep that link private. Anyone with the link can read the translation. We are not responsible for what happens if you share it.

The annual pass needs you to sign in. Signing in works through a link we email you; there is no password. The pass is tied to the email address you paid with, and it covers the translations you ask for while signed in with that address. Your account page lists your pass, your payments and your translations, and lets you sign out.

8. Payment

The price for each translation is shown before you pay: SGD 3.99 per document, or SGD 24.99 for an annual pass covering twelve months. The pass is a single payment and does not renew. Prices are in Singapore dollars and exclude tax. Taxes are calculated and added at checkout, based on where you are.

Who you pay. Payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe, through its Link service, is the seller of record for your purchase: it collects and pays the tax due, sends your receipt, and handles refunds and card disputes. Your card statement shows Link and Jargone. We receive confirmation that you paid and how much.

Refunds. If we fail to deliver a translation, we refund you in full. If the translation is delivered but you are unhappy with it, write to legal@somethinglabs.ai within 14 days and we will consider a refund case by case. Refunds are issued through Stripe to the payment method you used.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that:

We do not promise the translation is accurate or complete. The service is provided as is. We do not warrant that a translation is free from error, that it captures every term in a document, or that it is fit for any particular purpose.

We are not liable for what you do after reading a translation. Any decision you take about a product, a contract, a bill, a claim or anything else is yours. We are not liable for any loss arising from a decision you make, whether or not a translation informed it.

We are not liable for indirect loss. That includes lost profit, lost savings, lost opportunity, lost data and loss of goodwill, however caused.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the translation the claim relates to.

If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights that these terms do not affect.

10. Your information

We handle your information as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Intellectual property

The translation we produce is yours. You may use it however you like.

The Jargone name, the website, the software, the prompts and everything else that makes the service work remain ours. You may not copy, reverse engineer, scrape, or use the service to build a competing product.

You may not use automated means to access the service other than through the interface we provide.

12. Complaints and disputes

If something goes wrong, write to legal@somethinglabs.ai. We will acknowledge within 2 working days and aim to resolve within 14 days.

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the place where you live.

13. Changes

We may change these terms. If we do, we will post the new version here with a new date. The version in force when you paid for a translation is the version that applies to it.

14. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right, we do not lose it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. These terms are the whole agreement between us about the service.
